Who we are...
Since 2011, we have been helping people to achieve industry recognised, accredited qualifications that increase their knowledge and boost their career prospects. We also work with organisations and businesses to help them to not merely comply with legislation, but to increase efficiency, enhance their reputation and achieve best practice standards.

What we do...
We deliver NEBOSH and IOSH classroom-based courses in health and safety (and related topics) and we also offer personalised consultancy support for businesses and organisations who want to get health and safety right, but probably either don't have an in-house health and safety manager, or who need additional support.
"The support and advice from Stockwell Safety allowed us to asses where we were and what our strengths and areas for improvement were. We then had a clear way forward, along with continued advice and support from Stockwell Safety."
CEO, Petty Pool College
How we do it...
With the consultancy side of the business, we seek to work collaboratively with our clients. A common word that's used these days is 'outsourcing', but that's not what we do. For a business to really succeed with it, health and safety has to become an integral part of the business, reflected in the everyday actions, decisions and behaviours of everyone involved. We simply don't believe that outsourcing health and safety is possible.
Instead, we want our clients to see us as a valuable source of advice, guidance and re-assurance. To be called upon whenever needed to offer common sense solutions, distil and interpret health and safety legislation and cut through the red tape and bureaucracy that often surrounds this area of business and industry.
On the training side of the business, we focus on classroom-based courses and utilise a range of teaching methods such as open discussion, case studies, group and individual exercises and critical analysis to name a few. We strive to keep our courses interesting and engaging. Here's what a couple of our learners have to say about our courses...
"Adam is an excellent Trainer who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. I was a recent NEBOSH course delegate and really enjoyed the whole week. Adam understands the concept of inclusivity and his pace and use of a variety of teaching methods clearly show this.
Adam knows his subject inside out and did not have to refer to notes or slides and was able to talk around his subject with ease and he gave plenty of time to absorb information and ask questions.
He also made excellent summary notes at the end of each topic and connected each subject matter making the process of learning and understanding very easy for everyone."
Physiotherapist Specialising in Posture, Ergonomics, DSE and Manual Handling
"I recently completed the IOSH Managing Safely course. I have experience of working operationally as a police officer and with the ambulance service and felt attending the course would be a natural step in my career as a manager in the NHS.
Adam Harries, the trainer provided clear, concise and excellent tuition with an obvious high level of experience and knowledge in the subject.
It's been a long time since I have had to sit an assessment, or write any assignments however Adam's approach to teaching, his attention to all the delegates questions and any issues raised was a huge benefit in making the course easier to understand and enjoyable.
Since completing the course, I have know taken the next step and enrolled myself onto the NEBOSH General Certificate course. I'd like thank Adam for helping me to get the confidence and desire to excel and better myself and I would most certainly recommend Adam for anyone looking to attend a course. Excellent."
Gildas Griffiths Tech IOSH
We like to keep things simple. Sure, some of the courses we deliver include technical content, and some of the problems that our clients ask us to solve can be complex, but we break things down in order to find the core principles that are most relevant to a situation and focus our efforts there. Sometimes the best solutions are the simple ones.
“Everyone you will ever meet knows something that you don’t." This is a quote that we completely agree with and it's reflected in all our interactions, whether it's on-site with our consultancy clients and staff or with learners on our courses. Everyone has their own unique perception and interpretation of the world and the things in it, gained through their own experience. We value that and seek to include those perspectives in our work. So when we're developing solutions, the involvement and participation of staff at all levels is what we're after. Yes, we want to know what management think, but we're just as interested in what the front-line staff think as well.
Clients often tell us that they value our honesty. And we do tell it exactly as we see it. We're not going to tell people what we think they want to hear, just so we can get the job. We'll simply tell you how we work and let you decide whether or not we're the type of organisation you want to do business with. And if we do work together, we'll give you the truth, plain and simple, warts and all.
